Quoting app for electricians.Send the rewire quote before you start the van.
Short answer
Upheld is a quoting app for UK electricians. Describe the job by voice on site, it prices the work from your own materials and labour rates, and your customer gets a branded video quote explaining the work, with the written quotation and a button to accept and pay a deposit. You can see when they watch it and when to follow up.
The customer cannot see the work
Most of what you do ends up behind plaster. A list of circuits and a total does not explain why your rewire costs more than the cheapest one.
Quotes go out days later
By the time you have priced the cable, the accessories and the board, the customer has had two other quotes.
No idea who is serious
You send ten quotes a week and cannot tell which three are about to say yes.
How a quote gets made in Upheld
- Walk the job and talk it through on your phone, the way you would explain it to a mate. Add a few photos.
- Upheld turns it into priced lines from your own price list, your markup and your day rate. Anything it cannot price is flagged for you.
- You check every line and press send. Nothing reaches a customer until you have.
- Your customer gets one link by text, WhatsApp or email: a short video quote in your name, the written quotation, and buttons to accept, ask for a change or pay the deposit.
- You see when they open it and how much they watch. When someone keeps coming back to it, Upheld tells you to ring them.

How to write a quote for electrical work
- List the circuits and the board, so the customer sees the scope rather than a single figure
- Separate materials and labour, and say whether the price includes making good and redecoration
- State the testing and certification included, such as an Electrical Installation Certificate
- Note anything you cannot see yet, such as the condition of hidden cabling, as an exclusion or a provisional sum
- Show VAT, the total, the deposit and how long the price stands
Explain the work they will never see
A short video in your name can say what a PDF cannot: why the old board has to go, what an RCBO protects, and why your price includes the certificate. Customers who understand the work stop comparing on price alone.
Questions trades ask
Can I quote EV chargers and small jobs too?
Yes, but Upheld earns its keep on jobs above about £1,000, where the customer is comparing quotes. For a socket swap a text is fine.
Will it use my wholesaler prices?
Yes. Upload your wholesaler price list or your own price book and set your markup, and every quote is priced from it.
Can I send a plain written quote instead of a video?
Yes. Every quote can go as a video or as a clean written quotation in your brand. Same price, same link.
How do I know when to follow up?
Upheld shows when the customer opens the quote and how much of the video they watch. If they keep coming back to it, you get a hot lead alert telling you to ring.
