The quoting app for UK trades.Quote it on site. Win it before the others send a PDF.
Short answer
Upheld is a quoting app for UK tradespeople and builders. You talk the job through on your phone, it builds an itemised quote from your own price list, markup and day rate, and your customer receives a short branded video quote with the written quotation, an accept button and a deposit link. Upheld then shows you who has watched it and tells you when to ring.
What Upheld does
- Talk the job through on your phone and add a few photos. No forms.
- Upheld prices every line from your own price list, markup and day rate, and flags anything it cannot price.
- You check it and press send. Nothing goes to a customer until you do.
- Your customer opens one link: a short video quote in your name, the written quotation, an illustration of the finished job, and buttons to accept, ask for a change or pay the deposit.
- You see when they open it and how much they watch, and Upheld tells you when to ring.
Built for jobs worth winning
Upheld is made for quotes above about £1,000, where the customer is comparing two or three firms and the quote decides who gets the work: extensions, kitchens, bathrooms, rewires, boilers and heat pumps, roofs, decorating and landscaping.
It costs £79 a month plus VAT for one person and 20 quotes, or £179 a month plus VAT for up to 5 people and 40 quotes. New firms get eight weeks free.
Quoting app by trade
Quoting app for builders in the UK
An extension or a refurb quote can take a whole evening to write, after a full day on site. The longer it takes, the more likely someone else got there first.
Quoting app for electricians in the UK
Most of what you do ends up behind plaster. A list of circuits and a total does not explain why your rewire costs more than the cheapest one.
Quoting app for plumbers and heating engineers
Make, model, flue, total. The customer cannot see why yours includes a magnetic filter, a powerflush and a ten year warranty, and the cheaper one does not.
Quoting app for kitchen fitters
Your customer is picturing the finished room. A list of carcass fixings and worktop joints does not help them picture anything.
Quoting app for bathroom fitters
Square metres, adhesive, trims, valves and traps. Every refit is a spreadsheet.
Quoting app for roofers
They take your word for the slipped tiles and the rotten battens. Your photos are the proof, and a PDF buries them.
Quoting app for painters and decorators
Filling, sanding and caulking are what make the finish, and the customer cannot see them in a total.
Quoting app for landscapers and garden designers
Your customer is imagining summer evenings on a new patio. A list of sub base and pointing does not match the picture.
Questions trades ask
Do my customers need an app or an account?
No. They get one link by text or email. It opens in their phone's browser. No download, no password, no sign up.
Does it work with my price list?
Yes. Upload the sheet from your merchant or your own price book and set your markup. Every quote is priced from it. Anything it can't find a price for is flagged for you to fill in.
What if it gets something wrong?
You check every line before anything goes. Nothing reaches a customer until you've read it and pressed send. If it isn't sure about something, it asks you rather than guessing.
Can I send a normal written quote instead?
Yes. Any quote can go as a video or as a clean written quotation in your brand. Same price, same link, your choice on every job.
How do deposits work?
Connect your own Stripe account, or use your own payment link. When they accept, they pay the deposit and it goes straight to you. We never hold your money. Card deposits taken through Upheld carry a small fee, shown before you connect.
Why do you ask for a card at the start?
So nothing stops when the free weeks end. Nothing is taken for the first eight weeks, we remind you before the first payment, and if you cancel before then you pay nothing.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, from your Billing page. No contract and no notice period. You keep quoting until the end of the month you've paid for.
